A FEMALE passenger was injured in a car crash in the lead up to a man being hit by cars on the M23 yesterday (February 9).
Firefighters were called to assist the woman from a 4x4 which had been involved in a collision on London Road, East Grinstead.
Having raced to the scene in one fire engine, they helped the woman from the vehicle. Cutting equipment was not required.
She was then taken to hospital and firefighters were away from the scene after half an hour.
