A VEHICLE hit a lamppost today (February 6) and knocked it over, before driving off.
Firefighters were called out to Barlow Road, Bewbush, to deal with the lamppost, which was described to be in a "precarious position".
The vehicle that had hit the lamppost was no longer at the scene when Crawley firefighters arrived, having been called around 12.30pm.
The fire crew cordoned off the stricken lamppost and informed an electrical company, which arrived to deal with it.
