POLICE have said there was no explosion at the house where Maria Woodhead died on New Year's Eve.
Having initially said it was a suspected gas explosion which led to the death of the 51-year-old, Sussex Police has now said forensic investigators have ruled out any explosion at the home in Banks Road.
Instead it is thought there was a small fire which may have contributed to her death.
