THE Met Office is warning people to expect gusts of wind of up to 51mph in Crawley tonight.
Heavy rain is being predicted from midnight until at least 6am on Friday morning.
By midday forecasters are now predicting the worst of the storm will have passed with a dry Friday afternoon in store.
But strong gusts of wind are likely throughout the night and day, with the worst set to occur at about 3am.
