AS last night's huge storm tore through the area, Gatwick Airport had to divert 30 flights and cancel 10 more, mainly due to the wind.
There were problems in particularly across the Channel Islands.
At the height of the storm passengers and radar watchers were reporting flights being diverted to the likes of Amsterdam, Dublin, Cork, Manchester and Liverpool.
