POLICE have revealed that 14 people in Crawley in the last 24 hours have reported being targeted by conmen who pretend to be police officers and bank workers.
Only one of the 14 fell victim to the con and ended up losing money.
Vulnerable members of the community are believed to be being targeted.
The fraudsters telephone a victim claiming to work for another police force and say that they have arrested someone in their area for trying to access the victim's bank account.
