A BENEFIT fraudster who hid her living arrangements from the council has been ordered by a court to carry out community work.
Maria Smith (previously Bond) of Harvest Road, in Maidenbower, pleaded guilty to two counts of benefit fraud at Crawley Magistrates' Court last Wednesday (December 18).
She admitted failing to declare she was living with her partner, now husband, Stuart Smith and fraudulently claiming £8,800 in benefits.
