A VAN was totally destroyed by a fire yesterday as dozens of aerosol cans exploded inside.
Firefighters from East Grinstead's fire station were called to the accidental blaze at Priory Road in Forest Row yesterday (Monday)at 3.30pm.
When they arrived at the scene they heard the popping and banging of aerosol cans as they exploded in the van.
Two firefighters with breathing apparatus used one hose reel and foam to extinguish the fire but the van suffered 100 per cent damage.
