A MAN charged with theft was turned away from court for being too drunk.
Officers at Crawley Magistrates' Court refused entry to Laisvydas Matelis, after he appeared too tipsy to attend his hearing on Wednesday afternoon.
The 24-year-old, from Rochester, is charged with stealing designer sunglasses worth £1,019.75 from World Duty Free Store at Gatwick Airport on November 16.
Ironically, he arrived at the court wearing a pair of sunglasses, and a woolly hat.
A revised date for the hearing...
