A child accused of being drunk and disorderly in East Grinstead has appeared in court.
The 14-year-old girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with the offence and with assault following an incident in the town on July 7.
The charge of drunk and disorderly was dismissed due to a lack of evidence, but she was convicted of assault at Brighton Youth Court on Monday, November 11.
She was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay costs totalling £50.
