TWO men walked into an elderly woman's house while she was at home and stole £80 from her purse.
The 88-year-old was ironing in the kitchen of her home in Woodfield Road, Northgate when the pair walked in at about 11.20am on Friday (November 22).
They told her they were from the council and had come round to fix fencing in her garden.
She did not go outside with them as they requested and they left and the woman felt suspicious so called the police.
