POLE dancers were forced to evacuate into the rain after a fire alarm sounded at a national competition at The Hawth.
The alarm went off at about 6pm as awards were being handed out for the doubles contests at the Miss Pole Dance UK contest.
Competitors had to head for the exits despite some of them wearing very little.
A firefighter at Crawley Fire Station confirmed they had been called out within the last 30 minutes but it was a false alarm.
