A COUNCILLOR hopeful of becoming leader of Crawley's Conservative group has had his nomination for the role refused.
The new leader - being elected this evening (September 5) - is likely to become leader of Crawley Borough Council.
Cllr Liam Marshall-Ascough was informed that his nomination - made up of a series of emails detailing a proposer, seconder and consent to the nomination - was not submitted in the correct order.
